WASTE PROCESSING
Waste Processing History
ToxFree Energy North America has identified significant opportunities in developing a hazardous waste treatment program based on the success of the Australian Company’s 15 years experience. The pilot plant will be upgraded to a commercial 2 tonne per hour plant to allow it to process contaminated wastes produced in either the Vancouver or the Fort McMurray areas. Expansion into other Provinces is planned.
The ToxFree technology has successfully undertaken commercial remediation work for such companies as BP, Caltex, Shell and BHP Billiton, amongst others. The technology has successfully processed a variety of contaminated feedstock's such as crude oil tank residues, oil based drilling muds, ex gas works solids and tars, perchlorethylene, DDT groupings and PCB's all on a commercial scale. Our technology lends itself to the development of brown fields as well as the safe remediation of contaminated sites and processed waste.
Remediating Contaminated Waste and Recycling Oil Waste
The following table sets out examples of waste levels treated and results. All meet strict EPA requirements for processing hazardous waste and were independently verified by the clients environmental consultants.
TPH's 650,000 ppm not detectible
PAH's 100,000 ppm not detectible
OCP's 57,000 ppm not detectible
PCB's 40,000 ppm not detectible
We plan to establish a business built around the remediation and recycling of chemical, oil and petrochemical wastes. This business model has already been proven in Australia. We will be able to treat and recover oil for re-sale from oil refinery land farms, oil spills, treat and recover perchloroethylene waste for the dry cleaning industry, which is a major opportunity throughout the US and Canada, recycle plastic wastes into hydrocarbons, treat organochlorides (DDT, DDD, DDO and DDE), treat polychlorinated biphenyl’s (PCB’s), and treat total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH’s) at oil refinery sites, polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH’s) and treat and recover oils from waste lubricants and greases.
We are having discussions with potential joint venture partners to establish a business involved in the remediation of polluted soils found on strategically located real estate holdings. We have the capacity to establish an on-site process plant to substantially reduce costs and developers are seeking sites that would substantially increase in value for a variety of residential, commercial or industrial construction projects.
Alberta tar sands operations represent a major
