AGRICHAR FROM BIOMASS

ToxFree technology can be applied to other significant opportunities using pyrolysis. Biomass can be processed through its plants to produce a valuable bio-fuel and agrichar, a product which can be used as a soil amendment to improve soil fertility, stability and productivity while providing carbon sequestration in the char. The process is better than carbon neutral, it is actually carbon negative. This is ground breaking technology with the newly formed International Agrichar Initiative holding their first conference in Australia in May 2007. Energy Bulletin, published on 3 May 2007 “Birth of a New Wedge: Agri char (terra preta) says that this emerging industry could reduce worldwide carbon emissions by ten percent. ToxFree Systems Inc will conduct research in this field once it has established its tires to energy business.

METALS RECOVERY TECHNOLOGY

ToxFree Systems Inc plans to run trials for the recovery of zinc from tire char. Car tires typically contain approximately 2.5% zinc as a bonding agent, and the zinc content of the char should fall in the range of 6-10% in an easily extractable zinc oxide form. We will assay the zinc content and conduct bench trials to verify both the quantities of zinc and the economics of extraction and submit the results to two independent metals recovery specialists with whom it has a long established informal relationship for completion of a bankable feasibility study incorporating a small leach and electrowin plant. ToxFree Systems Inc anticipates that completion of this task will be very low cost and take several months.
